Do Not Fall Back On Hip Diets To Shed Weight

If you have tried to lose weight at some point in your life you have likely turned to some type of fad diet. It is hard not to fall for the lies and misconceptions brought forth by the diet industry. There is a lot of heavy marketing in this industry and with new diets and weight loss programs popping up everyday, it is very confusing.

The most common reason people turn to dieting is to try and lose a few pounds before some type of event like a wedding or a day at the beach. While there are a few quick fixes, they are not lasting and you will be back to your previous weight fairly quickly. This is because these are not sustainable methods. In order to truly experience lasting results you need something consistent.

You may use some type of supplements or fat burners to help get your metabolism going and burning fat, but you really just need to eat the right foods that naturally allow you to stay fit. Consistent activity is also very important. It not only helps you keep the weight off, but also it helps you stay in good health. Once you look at exercise and eating right as a long term investment in yourself, this shift in mind set makes it much easier to stick to your true objective.

A very common method of dieting seen in many weight loss plans is to eat foods that are low in carbs. Vegetables and fruits fit this category, but it is also important to increase the amount of protein you consume. Protein helps make you feel full, and it also helps your body kick into gear and starts the process of burning fat for energy.

Eating right is important if you want to lose weight and many people fall under the idea that you just need to eat less. This is not the case and just eating less can actually be worse. By starving yourself you will cause your body to shut down and it will try to store as much fat as possible. This is why it is critical to find a eating plan that allows you to get all the nutrients your body needs, but helps burn fat.

After you have taken up a diet that aids with weight loss, you need to find a way to be more active. This does not mean you have to go to the gym and run on the treadmill for hours. You can find fun activities that you look forward to. Finding social activities are good because they allow you to forget the time and just enjoy the activity of those you are with.

Once you change your diet and you start to become more physically active you will notice the benefits right away. You will have more energy and your mood will greatly improve. Your health is very important if you want a high quality of life. Many diseases and health complications can easily be avoided by adapting a more healthy lifestyle.

because David Wood told me to. I had been working with David for a few months, having joined his lead generation company. We were also in a network marketing company together that went belly up. Everyone was shocked at what went on with the old company. David knew of Numis and checked it out thoroughly. He liked what he saw and recommended that we join. The rest is history.

A little about me. I have been an Entrepreneur for about 50 years. There have been a lots of ups and downs. My father was an Entrepreneur and I worked with him for many years. In some of the businesses we were partners. I learned a lot, I will be forever great-full to him for is knowledge.

The most money I ever made was in real-estate, but this all changed a couple of years ago. I needed to find something else to do. Because I was getting older and being used to the good life, I decided to learn an internet business.

There was so much information I quickly had information overload. I had put the word out that I wanted an internet business. Boy did I get bombarded with phone calls and information. There was just to much of it. Everyone had the secret to wealth. They all had the best training and guaranteed that they could teach me how to make money on line.

All they did was cost me a lot of money. I did learn that most internet businesses was not for me I could just not grasp the concept. There was a young man in Miami name Shannon who was building me a website for a health company that I had signed up with. He took me under wing to try and help me learn how to work the internet. I was not doing well with my business.

Shannon called me one day and said he had found a network marketing company that we could make some money with. I signed with him and enjoyed the training. Started doing some business and thought everything would be fine. Things were slow, but there was a young man name David Wood on the team. David was the top recruiter in the company and did a lot of training. He recommended MLSP as a lead generation company so I joined with him.

Everything seemed like we were doing fine and then. The news came out that or company was shutting down the MLM business. Wow what a let down, but within just a few hours David announced that he had a new stable network marketing company Numis Network. If we would join with him he would lead us to the promised land, the Moses of the internet. So I joined and find David and his team are awesome in their training and assistance.

There is continuous training, a web site just for training and member help, chat groups on skype and much more. The company also has awesome training and support. There is no shortage of information.

Dream Your Dreams Or Reach Your Goals With Afformations

As you try to understand the big difference between a dream or a goal? A dream is just that, you want it to happen but it seldom does. But a goal if worked right is something that will happen. If you write it down in the form of an afformation. First you write down your goal. Work up a list, write down all of your goals for today, write down all of your goals for a week, write down all of your goals for a month, write down all of your goals for a year, write down all of your goals for five years. On your list put down ten goals for each, then number each goal as to effort it will take to accomplish it. Place the one that is most important or hardest at the top and place the least important or the easiest at the bottom.

Now turn your goal into an afformation. This is a new process in that you write it down in the future. For instance today’s date is 8/21/11 and you want to accomplish your goal within one month. You would write down, “The day is 9/21/11 as I sit here at my office I am amazed at how easy it was to accomplish my goal”. This is an example of how to write an afformation.

As you accomplish the larger goals you will find that the smaller one were accomplished along the way. Go to your list daily and write an afformation that is to be done that day. Because a job is not done until the paperwork is finished.

After you have written down your goals, then you write down exactly why you want this. Do you need more money, more love, finical security, etc.. At this time you need to get to work, what do I need to do to accomplish this. All of a sudden things start happening. It takes all of your effort and hard work, because you will succeed.

Over the years we are taught to go to school for 12 to 20 years. Learn the routine get a job and work for the next 40 years at something that you do not like to do in the first place. Barely making enough to live off of, and then retire on half of that. This was the old school. Now with the world economy falling apart there is no more job security. So many unemployed or underemployed you wonder what is next.

Network marketing is one of the best answers to part time work. You will start your own business for under $500 and will receive rewards directly related to the effort that you put forth. Irritable Bowel Syndrome And Diet – All You Should Know

August 21, 2011 by

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a disease that has no clear known cause. There have been many theories about its etiology but none of them just seem to hit the right spot. There is one theory that suggests infectious agents as the culprit behind the cause of IBS. Another theory suggests that the human body’s immune system is playing a role in the development of the disease. Some theory suggests that this syndrome is caused by something psychological and not physiological. This also complements the definition of irritable bowel syndrome as a functional disorder meaning there are no abnormalities in the structure of the organs.

Because of this predicament, there are several variations on how it is treated. Prescription meds and such differ from patient to patient. Most often than not, treatments are given to control, relieve or suppress the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. For example, we know that if a person with IBS has diarrhea, then the physician will prescribe him or her anti diarrhea drugs. If a patient with this syndrome has constipation, laxatives will then be given. If the patient with IBS is experiencing abdominal cramps, he or she will be given anti-spasmodic drugs. This is how physicians usually treat patients with this disease.

But there is one treatment though that is common among all patients and that is diet.Other than medicines and therapies, it has also been proven that having a proper diet can help lessen the manifestation of symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. Diet can be a very good supplement to whatever treatment the patient is undergoing.

There are also alternative approaches in treating irritable bowel syndrome and one of those alternative approaches is Homeopathy. Homeopathy is a kind of treatment wherein you use medicines that give off the same effects of the disease a person is suffering. It is like curing poison with the use of another poison.

Homeopathy can be likened to the creation of anti-venom for the poison of a snake. You need to have the poison of the snake to be able to make the substance that can counter it. Another good analogy for this is the vaccine. Vaccines are strains from the original virus which are given to you to create immunity to the disease.

Homeopathy works this way. Homeopathic medicines create artificial diseases that would mimic the effects of the disease you have. The artificial disease produced is somewhat stronger than what you have. Once in the body, it will eliminate its twin and it can do that since it is stronger. After eliminating the original disease, the artificial disease will also then vanish.

Ways To Reduce Calorie Intake

August 20, 2011 by

For many people it can be a hard job trying to cut down on calories. Apart from being hard and even to some level discouraging, the other problem is that they feel as if being in a constant battle with their weight. Even though you might think that the whole process of burning calories is not an easy one, the fact is that it is so simple. How many calories and how much weight you are going to lose depends mostly on your eating habits and working out regime.

One and probably the most important thing is that you need to understand what kind of food you are eating each day instead of starving and depriving yourself of the food that you like. In order to do that you have to follow some easy steps that may certainly help you learn how to reduce your calories. By learning how to control the portions and what kind of food to remove from the menu, you will take control of your overall health, which is undoubtedly the only thing that really matters.

Eating food in smaller portions and from smaller plates is a sure way to consume fewer calories. Most people think that they need to eat everything that is put onto their plates, despite being full and despite the amount of food they have just consumed. And this is definitely wrong.

In fact, people are not always conscious of the amount of food they eat, and they determine how full they are by the meals on their plates and bowls they use. Thus, by eating food from smaller plates and bowls, you can be sure that you are learning how to consume fewer calories without even trying hard. All you need to do is to serve less food, so you will eat less food. Sounds simple right?

Most of us are brought up to believe that it is ideal to have three meals each day, but, in fact, the ideal number of meals is five or six. Of course, the most important meal of the day is breakfast, which should be followed by a few healthy snacks during the day. You will certainly learn how to burn your calories if you consume food full with proteins, fruits and vegetables.

Another useful way to learn when you are not hungry anymore and when you should finish eating your meal is eating your food slowly. A great number of people eat too quickly which consequently leads to consuming more calories and overeating. Due to that, you are advised to chew your food slowly in order to let the food digest properly.

Sticking to these suggestions is a sure way of learning how to reduce your calories and get rid of your bad habits. But, you must understand that it is not an easy process that happens overnight. Still, one thing is for sure: taking fewer calories and doing more workouts will make you reach weight you’ve always wanted.

How To Increase A Slow Metabolism

By D Heape

Do you want to know how to increase a slow metabolism. You probably hear this all the time, that my metabolism is slow, I hardly eat anything all day, but I can’t lose any weight! So how can you make your metabolism move faster? First of all keep in mind that the heavier someone is, with fat or muscle, the higher their metabolism is. Muscle will increase your metabolism more than fat will, but not by very much.

Try and build a little muscle first of all. But, try and not over do it! For every pound of muscle, there is about a 9 calorie a day increase in your metabolism, and that’s not very much. But that shouldn’t keep you from shaping those muscles as you’re losing fat by adjusting your diet. Every little bit helps add up, though, so while a pound of muscle does not offer a big calorie advantage, increasing on more muscle than that does. There are lots of other advantages to increasing muscle too, so keep on training!

Another good way to increase your metabolism is by eating more often. When you eat, the metabolism raises to digest your food. Especially when you have a little protein with every meal. Protein helps to increase metabolism better than carbohydrates or fat. So try and make sure each meal has a little protein like eggs, turkey, nuts, chicken, beans, or fish.

Eat the most important meal of the day; “breakfast”. As easy as it sounds most people fail to do this, and it raises your metabolism in the morning. If you add those first 2 together, you’ve got a kick but combination. There are some true research facts, that say by eating eggs in the morning it will increase your weight loss far beyond eating a bagel, or toast.

Upgrade the amount you workout by increasing your speed a little each time. The long, and slow cardio workouts will do very little, and next to nothing when your workout is completed. On the flip side, shorter, and hard intensity exercise will cause a much bigger increase in your metabolism, even a few hours after your workout is finished! A study showes a fifteen hour increase in metabolism after a high intense workout. This will burn up to an additional 200 calories a workout. Now that adds up quick!

And there you go a simple approach to get your slow metabolism moving faster! If you still have concerns about your weight, see your physician about some healthy changes you need to make. And then if you still think your metabolism is slow, the physician can check you for rare circumstances that can cause issues with your metabolism.

I know how it feels to be picked on and laughed at.I was overweight growing up.Weight Loss is a struggle that can be won with a good mind and determination.I have lost 102 pounds and still getting results with this program. It will help increase your slow metabolism. If this plan is not right for you please find one that is!You will look and feel so much better.Visit-> How To Increase A Slow Metabolism

Pickle Juice Is One of Best of All Home Heartburn Remedies

By Richard Weirich

I recently wrote an article on the topic of home heartburn remedies. In my research I came across several home concocted solutions that seemed questionable.

A few days ago I broke my diet. The program that I am on was designed to keep heartburn and acid reflux under control. But, every now and then, I feel the need to indulge myself. When that happens I go overboard and try to satisfy all of my cravings in one day. Unfortunately, my body is none to favorable to the sudden influx of favorite foods. As a result heartburn and acid reflux came back with a vengeance.

Since heartburn is seldom a problem I don’t keep antacids on hand. So…I was desperately in need of relief from the severe burning pain of a late night acid reflux attack. It was at that point that I remembered my article on home heartburn remedies which prompted me to search my pantry and refrigerator for a possible solution..

Then I thought about…pickle juice. In my research I had learned that many people swear by it. In fact, they suggest using it in different forms. Some say that sweet pickle juice is the best remedy for heartburn. Some insist that pickle juice reigns supreme. And then there are those who say that you can’t go wrong with fermented pickle juice. At that point of advanced discomfort I was willing to try any kind of juice. I was willing to try anything.

Sure enough, on the back of a middle shelf sat a lonely jar of chow-chow pickles. In desperation I grabbed the jar and poured a generous serving of juice into a glass and chugged it. Initially, the sour taste was overpowering. But, happily, the acid reflux and severe heartburn gradually disappeared. Surprisingly, the pickle juice remedy came through as advertised and really worked.

Do you recall that old advertising slogan? “How do you spell relief? Well, at least on this one occasion I spelled relief, “p-i-c-k-l-e- j-u-i-c-e!” My apologies to those of you whose wisdom I doubted. Your home remedy for heartburn really does work.

So, now I am back to the home remedy that consistently keeps heartburn and reflux under control. Back to a diet that avoids heartburn triggers like spicy and greasy foods, caffeine, carbonated beverages, alcohol, and chocolate.

I have great admiration for folks who are unwaveringly disciplined. However, even though I am reasonably disciplined, there are occasional breakdowns. And when I foolishly elect to go off my diet I reap the unpleasant aftermath.

The truth is, you can control heartburn and acid reflux with a sensible diet. But there will be times, for most of us, where we just have a craving that must be satisfied. In fact, we even know what breaking the diet leads to but we go ahead and do it anyway. And then…we pay the painful price. The good news is that there are home heartburn remedies that really work. When heartburn rears its ugly head in your life and left wondering what to do…reach for a glass of;pickle juice.

The Definition of Obesity Today

August 12, 2011 by

By D Heape

Obesity is a medical issue were excess body fat has acquired to the magnitude that it may have an unfavorable effect on the health, leading to lower life expectancy and increase more health problems. On the average, obesity lowers the lifespan by 7 to 8 years. A BMI of 30 to 35 lowers the lifespan by 3 to 4 years, while morbid obesity with the BMI of 40 lowers the lifespan by 10 years or more.

Body mass index is a measurement that compares height, and weight, and also defines people as overweight if their BMI is between 25 and 30, and obese if it is greater than 30 on the bmi scale. A BMI over 32 has been linked with a double death rate among women the last 16 years.

Obesity raises the chances of different diseases, specifically heart disease, type 2 diabetes, different types of cancers, and sleep apnea. Obesity is mostly brought about by a mixture of enormous food energy intake, limited physical activity, and genetics, but a few cases can be caused by endocrine disorders, or psychiatric illness. Some obese people eat lite but still increase their weight due to a slow metabolism.

Diet and exercise are the backbone of treatment for this disorder. It is very important to better the diet quality by eating less energy dense foods that are high in fat and sugar, and by eating more dietary fiber. To supplement this, certain drugs may be taken to lower the appetite or prevent fat incorporation. In severe cases, surgery may be achieved to reduce stomach volume or bowel time, leading to earlier fullness and lowered ability to physically take in nutrients from food. The availability of a nutritional guideline on food has done very little to help the problem of overeating and poor diets.

Obesity is responsible for one of the preventable causes of death worldwide, with increasing popularity in adults and children, and is one of the most serious public health issues in the U.S.. Obesity is labeled negatively in most of the world. It use to be considered a symbol of wealth and fruitfulness in past history.

I’m glad you took time to read this article today, and many of the negative health factors of obesity in general are well supported by available evidence, some health effects in certain groups of people seem to improve at a higher BMI, a phenomenon called the obesity survival paradox.

I know how it feels to be picked on and laughed at, because I was overweight growing up. Weight Loss is a struggle that can be achieved with a good mind, determination, and knowledge. Alcohols Ill Effects On the Liver

By Becky Winslow

Drinking Alcohol, Health and Wellness

Drinking excessively produces a myriad of medical conditions. It causes both long-term and short-term disorders. It is responsible for a variety of illness and disease. If it’s possible that you have got an issue with alcohol addiction you ought to get a comprehensive examination from your doctor before alcohol can begin to create significant health problems for you.

If you realize that you are addicted to drinking alcohol, you need to get treatment for addiction to alcohol today. Even if you do not consider yourself addicted to alcohol, but it produces troubles in your daily life, you need to seek out rehabilitation for alcohol addiction immediately.

Short-Term Concerns From Alcohol

There are plenty of short-term adverse effects when it comes to alcohol abuse. Alcohol consumption is going to impair a person’s capacity to drive, which could result in an injury to the drinker or an innocent bystander from a car crash. It makes a person’s behavior explosive or erratic, and may result in ruined relationships, physical altercations and legal trouble. Liquor can be quite risky anytime mixed with additional substances; even drugs that are recommended by a physician, and can cause severe adverse reactions and trips to the hospital.

Long-Term Negative Effects connected with Alcohol Dependency

For those who drink abusively over a long period of time, the negative repercussions increase exponentially. It’s known that abusive drinking will cause moderate to extensive neurological damage and that even casual drinking can cause a certain amount of short-term troubles. One of the most devastating consequences of abusive drinking and alcoholism is liver disease.

Alcohol Abuse and Liver Disease

Our livers are vital and complex organs that we cannot live without. The liver is responsible for the manufacture of vital proteins and enzymes that humans require to remain healthy. The liver also maintains vital energy and nutrients, and cleans our bodies of harmful toxins, including alcohol.

Alcohol consumption is very taxing on the liver, as it has to work hard to break the substance down. Even having in excess of three drinks at one time can cause damage to the liver. When alcohol is combined with medications that have acetaminophen (a common over the counter pain reliever) the damaging effects are magnified.

The first stage of Alcoholic Liver Disease, or ALS, is called steatosis or “fatty liver.” This condition can precipitate after just a few days of drinking. Fortunately, with cessation of drinking, it can be reversed.Alcoholic Hepatitis is a much more severe liver condition that will occur after extensive periods of heavy drinking. Alcoholic Hepatitis is potentially fatal and can cause permanent damage in the liver. This condition is an inflammation of the liver and is accompanied by a number of uncomfortable symptoms. Some examples of Alcoholic Hepatitis symptoms are as follows:

Nausea and Vomiting

Loss of Appetite

Abdominal Pain

Fever

Jaundice

Mental Instability or Confusion

Liver inflammation, or Alcohol Hepatitis is a precursor of, and leads to the most sever form of liver disease caused by drinking, Cirrhosis of the Liver. In fact, it is estimated that as high as seventy percent of those who have Alcoholic Hepatitis will develop Alcoholic Cirrhosis.

Alcoholic Cirrhosis is a condition in which healthy liver tissue is replaced by scar tissue (fibrosis). This renders the liver unable to function and places the entire body at risk for serious infection.

Cirrhosis is the twelfth leading cause of death in the U.S. as of the year 2000. For individuals between the ages of 45 and 54, it is the fourth leading cause of death. Compared to men, women are at a greater risk for developing liver disease from excessive drinking. This is because women have a different chemical make-up than men and have less of the enzymes used to break down alcohol. This causes women to have higher amounts of alcohol in their system for longer periods of time, which causes increased stress on the liver.

Obesity vs Overweight And What’s The Difference?

August 5, 2011 by

By D Heape

What’s the difference of obesity vs overweight? These expressions are commonly used alike. Even though these terms are both associated to excess body fat, they also associate the distinctive lengths of this condition. To check someones excess body weight correctly, the doctors use a Body Mass Index, also known as BMI. This is a way to measure weight that takes a person’s height into account.

BMI is used by doctors and trainers to evaluate people that are overweight or obese. It is very effective in figuring out the weight for any height, and measures your overall body fat. But it does not make the
distinction between people with too much fat, or muscular body class. You should use BMI in combination with other body assessments. Someone with the BMI of 25 to 29.9 is acknowledged to be overweight. Someone with a BMI of 30 or more is considered obese. Your doctor or trainer can help you to decide your BMI and put you on a healthy diet to help lose that extra weight.

The reasons for obesity in some individuals include environmental, genetic, and phsychological factors. Anyone can be at risk for being overweight, men and women of any age and race. The Center for Disease Control often refers to the problem of obesity in the United States as a wide spread public health problem. They also say that the situation will continue to get larger. In the late 90′s, the National Health
& Nutrition Survey said that an estimated 63% of US adults are overweight or obese.

Between the 80′s and 9o’s, the population of overweight United States citizens from ages 25-73 increased about 2%, rising from 35% to 37%. During the same time, obesity has multiplied from around 16% to 28%.
Being overweight or obese is very unhealthy, and will lead to other illnesses, and diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease, and high blood pressure, just to name a few.

To figure out your BMI follow these steps.
1. Take your weight pounds & multiply by 704
2. Divide that number by your height inches
3. Divide that number by your height inches again
4. 19-24.9 You Are Fit
5. 25-29.9 You Are Overweight – You need to start finding ways to fix the problem, because health issues may start to develope.
6. 30+ Obesity – You are at high risk of health issues, and should see your doctor for safe, and healthy diet programs.

In a nutshell that is the difference in obesity vs overweight. Learning about your health condition is the first start to a healthy life. Then, you need to decide what to do from there. I would recommend starting
some kind of activity. I suggest walking, or even just walking the dog. This is very effective, and a good healthy start.

I know how it feels to be picked on and laughed at, because I was overweight growing up. Weight Loss is a struggle that can be achieved with a good mind, determination, and knowledge.
